27-Y-O Jamaica University Graduate Busted on ‘Importing Cocaine Into Florida’

Norjah Witter, a 27-year-old university graduate, was arrested last week Thursday in Florida, USA and charged with importation and possession of cocaine.

Witter, a resident of Clarendon, was arrested on her birthday, according to information posted on the Broward County Sheriff Office website.

The website didn’t state the quantity of cocaine seized or the circumstances of Witter’s arrest.

Witter who lived in the Eastern Caribbean for a brief period before returning to Jamaica last year faces at least five years' imprisonment for the possession charge.

“Mi feel it, man. She was a good girl. It is shocking,” a former high school friend of Witter’s mention in an interview with the news team.

The teachers at both high schools at which she once attended were shocked. “She was very ambitious,” said the person about the former head girl.
