Crime rate in Montego Bay has sprung rapidly in past weeks and security forces are committed to and are working the extra hours to restore calm to everyone affected. It seems these criminal element will never stop until they have their cup filled.
A recent shooting which occurred just last Thursday had left one resident, a 60 year old man with shocking quotes shivering in his mouth.
"Right now me fraid a MoBay. Dem youth yah no have no fear," he said, standing metres from the blood-soaked spot near Union and King streets where Franklyn Lawrence was shot dead last Thursday.
In a video obtained from the gleaner publisher's website, the victim had pulled up to a gas station pump, got out his vehicle and attend to the trunk of the car, a seconds later a white motor car pulled up behind, 3 men alighted, all armed and began firing 'wildly' in Mr. Franklyn's direction.
He was chased and gun-down at a short distance by one of the men.
Two men are to be charged with murder and other offences in connection with this shooting.
