A Man And A Woman Was Killed When A Truck Caught Fire in Trelawny

Two persons were killed in a three-vehicle collision on the Rio Bueno main road, Trelawny earlier today. Dead are 42-year-old Neville Malcolm of Malcolm Heights in Lucea, Hanover and a woman identified as Leonie Rose.

Reports from the Rio Bueno Police are that about 4:45 a.m., the driver of a Leyland motor truck was heading towards Montego Bay, St James when the motor vehicle developed difficulties and caught fire. The Falmouth Fire Department responded and was extinguishing the blaze when a Ford Fiesta motor car crashed into the Leyland motor truck. 

An Isuzu motor truck that was travelling in the same direction then crashed into the Ford Fiesta motor car and then into the Leyland motor truck.

Malcolm, who was the driver of the Ford Fiesta motor car died on the spot, while Rose,

who was a passenger in the Leyland motor truck sustained injuries and was transported to hospital, where she later died.
