Another man is now dead and several others injured after a Jamaica Labour Party bus was shot up in the hot bed community of Flanker in Montego Bay, St James on Nomination Day.
The busload of Labourites were on their way to support incumbent Member of Parliament, Horace Chang. The incident occurred about 11:30 am.
Police report that between 40 and 50 spent shells were recovered on the scene of the shooting. It is not quite clear the number of persons who were injured.
The Flanker community has been racked by an ongoing gang feud between member of the Sparta and Rebel gangs who have been at loggerheads for several weeks.
On Sunday at a JLP mass rally at Sam Sharpe Square, three persons were murdered and six others, including four women, were injured after a shooting close to the end of a lengthy address by Opposition Leader, Andrew Holness.
The dead men have been identified as 22-year-old Javin Campbell, otherwise called 'Javinci' of Flanker, who is a top tier of the Sparta Gang and Nicholas Irving, otherwise called 'Chow', who is a known affiliate of the Rebel Gang.
It is not known if the attack on the bus is a continuation of the ongoing gang feud.
