The Clarendon police are currently probing what they say is the suspicious death of a taxi man in the parish last night.
It’s reported that some time after 9pm a Toyota Corolla station wagon was discovered on fire in an area known as Woods, near Bucknor in the parish.
The police and fire department were alerted, and they later arrived on the scene to find the vehicle totally engulfed.
When firefighters managed to put out the blaze, the charred remains of a man believed to be the driver was found in the front passenger seat.
He has been identified as 48-year-old Brian Wallace a taxi operator who plied the May Pen to Farm route.
The man appeared to have been killed before the vehicle was set on fire.
Just three months ago the body of another taxi driver was found with his throat slashed several metres away from where this vehicle was found.
That taxi operator, Anthony Morgan operated along the May Pen to Wood Hall route.
