Former Cyclist Horace Mcfarlane Warn Jamaicans to Stay Away From Trinidad

The 35 year old cyclist was recently deported to Jamaica after being held in the twin-island republic on two separate drug-related charges, crimes for which he has continued to maintain his innocence.

McFarlane who won gold for Jamaica at the 2001 Caribbean road championship, was first arrested in 2012 in the twin island republic, and he alleges that during his near four year incarceration he was victimized for just being a Jamaican citizen.

The Jamaican says he was just given deportation papers and told to buy a ticket and leave the country, adding that his passport and his personal belongings were never returned.

He is expected back in court in Trinidad on May 27.
