17-Y-O Died After Being Flung From A Motorcycle Into a Truck

The police have confirmed that a 17-year-old girl who was a pillion passenger on a motorcycle was yesterday killed in a motor vehicle crash on Half-Way Tree Road in St Andrew.

Dead is Chrissan Balaraman of Stony Hill, Kingston 9.

Reports from the Half-Way-Tree police are that about 3:20 pm, Chrissan was a pillion passenger on a motorcycle when it collided with a motor truck.

Both Chrissan and the driver of the motorcycle were flung from the bike upon impact.

The police were summoned and the two were taken to hospital where Chrissan was pronounced dead. The condition of the driver is not known at this time, the police say.

The driver of the motor truck has been warned for prosecution.
