J.U.T.C Buses to Hit Country Side And Other Rural Areas Soon

Commuters in the parishes of Clarendon, Manchester and St Catherine will soon be able to access buses operated by the Jamaica Urban Transport Company (JUTC).

This was announced by Transport and Mining Minister, Mike Henry, during his presentation in Gordon House on Wednesday.

Henry said the cost of transport was too hard on persons living in rural areas and the move was especially aimed at easing the risk faced by students who are forced to take route taxis in these rural parishes.

“A pilot project will begin at the start of the new year. It is important that we develop the country for everyone in the country,” he said.

What are your thoughts on this move by the bus company?
