A five-year-old girl was shot and killed at her home in Duhaney Park, Kingston, early this morning.
According to reports, the shooting began sometime after 1 am.
During that time all occupants within that area were awake and were flat on the floor by what was described as the sound of firecrackers.
Denique Salmon who was fast asleep fell victim after the shooting subsided.
Her mother in an interview with the news team states that she was asleep when she was reportedly struck by a stray bullet.
