Another fatal domestic dispute has rocked the nation after a woman was allegedly stabbed to death by her male ex-lover in Brampton, St Elizabeth on Thursday.
The deceased has been identified as 49-year-old Hilreth Stephenson, a domestic helper of Top Hill in the parish.
Her attacker, said to be a man with whom she once shared an intimate relationship, remains on the run.
Police reports are that Stephenson was heading to work when she was approached by the man.
An argument later developed between the two former lovers, and a knife was reportedly used subsequently to inflict stab wounds to Stephenson's body.
The attacker then fled the scene.
The wounded woman was taken to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
A police probe has been launched into the incident.
