A 49-nine-year-old mason, Ian McDonald, otherwise called ‘Ricky’, of Pratville district in Asia, Manchester, was arrested and charged on Saturday, April 4 with the offence of wounding with intent that was allegedly committed in his community.
Reports from the Asia police are that on Wednesday, April 1 at about 3pm, McDonald went to the house of a cousin of his and asked the relative for a food item.
The male relative reportedly failed to assist McDonald and the now accused man allegedly responded by using a machete to chop the cousin on his head.
The police were summoned and the complainant was taken to a hospital, where he was treated and later released.
McDonald was arrested and subsequently charged, and is scheduled to appear in the Manchester Parish Court in Mandeville on Wednesday, April 29.
