Residents living in August Town, St Andrew, have joined forces with the police, in search of a 10-year-old boy, who was reportedly swept away by floodwaters on Wednesday, September 25.
The police have not yet released the identity of the child.
Reports are that about 4:00p.m., the child was walking with a group of persons in a flooded area, in August Town.
They were in the process of going across a flooded culvert when the child fell in the water and got swept away.
A search was launched for him which was unsuccessful up to late afternoon on Wednesday.
The search is expected to continue today.
