Retired Cop to Sue State Over Pepper Spray Incident During Traffic Stop

The retired cop who was pepper sprayed last week is to sue the state.

Attorney-at-Law Bert Samuels says his law firm has been engaged by the retired lawman.

Retired Deputy Superintendent of Police Altamorth Campbell and his son were driving along Molynes Road in St. Andrew on June 5, when he was stopped by a police officer.

The retired cop was peppered sprayed by a constable during a verbal exchange. Mr. Samuels says there was an excessive use of force in the case.
