Two teenage girls who were reported missing from their homes in St Mary have been found.
Police said the teenagers were found working at a bar in St Elizabeth and have been taken to a place of safety.
Police said this decision was made when the teenagers were brought before the St Elizabeth Children's Court last week.
The girls, aged 14 and 16, will not be named because they are juveniles.
Reports are that on Thursday, May 27, the teenagers travelled to St Elizabeth on the invitation of a female relative.
The girls then began working at a bar in the Goshen area of the parish.
Acting on intelligence received, the Santa Cruz police picked up the teenagers at the bar and took them into custody.
The girls, according to police sources, told the court that they had been having difficulties at home with their respective parents.
The presiding judge subsequently ordered the teens to be placed in the care of the state.
They are to return to court on June 13, for the case to again be heard.
