ST JAMES, Kingston — Residents of a St James community are mourning the loss of a young boy and a man who were murdered along the Windsor main road in the parish yesterday afternoon.
According to the police, Kuwayne Hemmings, 27, was transporting six-year-old Jordain Hodges on a motorcycle about 2:30 pm, when gunmen attacked them.
The two were shot several times and subsequently died.
The police said its St James Community Safety and Security Team is now working alongside personnel from the Victim Support Unit in Adelphi, St James to offer grief counselling to residents following the murders.
Investigators are assuring that they are following strong investigative leads and are appealing to residents who may have information to contact the St James Criminal Investigations Branch at 876-953-6191 or Crime Stop at 311.
