REUNITED AT LAST: Stolen Baby Reunites With Biological Parents

KINGSTON, Jamaica — Suzzett Whyte and Sinclair Hutton have been reunited with their baby boy who was snatched from the Victoria Jubilee Hospital (VJH) a month ago.

The baby, who had been in the care of the Child Protection and Family Services Agency (CPFSA) since he was found on Tuesday, was returned to his parents at the Denham Town Police station in Kingston a short while ago.

He was taken from a woman who had gone to the Registrar General's Department (RGD) in Twickenham Park, St Catherine with the intention of having the infant registered.

RGD authorities had detained the woman after they became suspicious about documents that she had submitted for the registration.

That same day, Whyte and her common-law husband were asked by the Kingston Western Police to do a DNA test to determine whether the baby taken from the woman was theirs.

The baby's identity was yesterday confirmed, ending the couple's month-long nightmare.

In the meantime, the woman who turned up at the RGD attempting to register the stolen baby is to face an identification parade today.
