Cab Driver Pulled From Vehicle And Stabbed to Death by Men With Knives

KINGSTON, Jamaica — A taxi operator from Spanish Town, St Catherine was pulled from his vehicle and stabbed to death by unknown assailants along Windsor Avenue, Kingston 6 last night, the police have reported.

He is 34-year-old Wendell Harris of Seaton Boulevard in Sydenham Villa.

Reports from the police's Corporate Communications Unit are that Harris was allegedly taken from his vehicle about 7:05 pm and chased by several men who used knives to stab him multiple times.

The police were summoned and Harris was found lying motionless in a pool of blood. He was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

It is alleged that he was killed out of not protesting and, staying out of 'taxi politics'. We are yet to verify such claim.
