The Portmore police are awaiting the results of a post-mortem examination to determine whether a taxi operator and a female were killed and their bodies later dumped in bushes in Portmore, St Catherine.
The bodies, which were in a state of decomposition, were found along the Dyke Road in Portmore on Thursday afternoon.
The police were alerted to the bodies by residents who came upon the gruesome sight.
The deceased have been identified as 34-year-old Andrew Haylett, taxi operator of Greater Portmore, and 23-year-old Monique Brown, unemployed of Daytona, also in Portmore.
The police found a motorcar belonging to Haylett a day before the discovery of his body along with that of the female.
Investigators are trying to determine whether the two were killed elsewhere.
