A 30-year-old shop owner is now in custody at the Falmouth lock-up in Trelawny after reportedly using a golf club to hit a woman in the head in Township, Falmouth on the Tuesday night of September 18.
Dead is Candice London Edwards popularly called “Chin” an alleged
secks worker who hails from De la Vega City in Spanish Town, but operate her business in Falmouth.
Reports by the Falmouth police are that about 11:30 p.m. that same day, Ms. Chin, as the secks worker is affectionately called, and another female in the same field were operating at a location when an altercation developed between the two.
It is reported that Ms. Chin and her friend were having the upper hand on the other female when the shop operator intervened.
An argument developed between the two opposing females and the shop operator at which Chin reached for a container of pepper spray and sprayed the shop operator.
Felt threatened, the man ran to the back of his shop and later returned with a golf club which he used to clobber the female “Chin” in the head.
She fell to the ground in a pool of blood and was immediately rushed to the Falmouth Hospital where she was pronounced dead.
The police were summoned and upon arrival the accused was taken into custody.
