Linton Stephenson, a church deacon, has been named as a suspect in the killing of the woman who was found on the Winston Jones High-way on Tuesday morning.
According to THE STAR,the police went to his home in Bloomfield Circle, Manchester, where they found a knife with bloodstains on it.
It is further understood that the 59-year-old is currently on parole for a murder he committed several years ago.
The woman, who is yet to be identified, was found at about 1:30 a.m. on Tuesday in a cooler on the back seat of a Toyota Starlet with her throat slashed.
Meanwhile, the deacon is also wanted for an incident that happened on August 16, where he pulled a gun on a woman and threatened to kill her.
The Manchester police said that a warrant is being drafted for his arrest after the gun they believe was used in the August 16 incident was found at his home.
