Afternoon devotion at a central Jamaica high school became a bloody scene last Thursday after two boys got into a fight and a broken glass was used by one of the students to stab the other.
Information reaching our news team is that one of the students received injuries to his neck and back, and had to be rushed to the hospital.
Yesterday, when our news team contacted school, the principal confirmed the incident, stating he was not at school when the incident transpired. He, however, said that the matter is being investigated.
"A student got a cut, and both are now back in school. An investigation is being carried out," the principal said.
When asked what transpired, the principal said: "It was a broken glass that a boy took up and cut another. He received stitches."
We have since received updates which told that the child's wounds had to be stitched.
The police's Corporate Communications Unit (CCU) said they have no report on the incident.
