A Clarendon taxi operator lost his life on Saturday after being allegedly attacked and almost beheaded by another man in St Catherine in a love triangle that ticked off at the home of the woman they both share a bed with respectively.
Police reports are that Clarence Clarke of a Clarendon address was chopped to death by Alvin Messam, otherwise called ‘Kevin’, a 35-year-old construction worker of Spanish Town, St Catherine.
Reports are that Clarke went to visit his girlfriend, so far identified only as ‘Kerry-Ann’, who resides in the White Water Housing Scheme just outside Spanish Town in St Catherine.
Clark already being inside the house, Messam, the father of Kerry-Ann’s child, made a visited to the home around 9:00 p.m., where the verbal fireworks immediately erupted between the two men.
The heated argument led to a physical tussle between the men.
Clarke eventually left the house and while walking along the roadway, Messam launched an attacked with a machete chopping Clarke in his upper body area, partially severing his head.
Clarke was rushed to the Spanish Town Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The Spanish Town police are now investigating the matter.
