Farmer Shot Dead on His Farm; Large Pile of Cash Found in Pocket

A 48-year-old Hanover farmer was found shot dead on his farm on Friday, but strangely, with a large sum of money he had on him still intact in one of his pockets.

The police reported that Desmond Hamilton, otherwise called ‘Glimpse’, of Rejoin district, Sandy Bay, Hanover, left his home for his farm, which is located about half a mile in bushes in the district, on Thursday, and did not return home.

On Friday at about midday, a search was conducted by citizens, who stumbled upon Hamilton’s lifeless and partially decomposed body and called the police.

On the arrival of the police, Hamilton’s body was seen lying face down in a pool of blood, clad in his clothes and a pair of water boots, with what appears to be four gunshot wounds to the abdomen.

A large sum of cash was found in his front pants pocket, which suggested that he was not robbed.

The Sandy Bay police are investigating the death.
