Spanish Town Woman Chopped in Forehead; 18-Y-O To Be Charged

St Catherine, Jamaica – An 18-year-old teenager is now facing murder charges at the Spanish Town lock up following an incident which occurred on Saturday, March 17, where he allegedly used a machete to chop a woman to death.

The deceased has been identified as 48-year-old Donette Walters, unemployed of Lease Land in Ellerslie Gardens in Spanish Town.

Reports are that about 10:30 p.m., Walters and the teenager who resides at the same premises had a dispute and the accused went for a machete.

He reportedly used the machete to chop the woman in regions of her forehead multiple times.

Family members transported the wounded woman to the Spanish Town hospital where she was pronounced dead.

The teenager was later taken into custody and is now waiting to be charged.
