A 46-year-old dressmaker from Linstead, St Catherine was on Wednesday arrested and charged for dealing in ganja after allegedly being caught with the illegal drug, while boarding a flight to Barbados.
Reports are that about 12:30 p.m., the woman, Jacqueline Bailey was at the security checkpoint and was in the process to board a Caribbean Airlines Flight BW457 flight destined for the eastern Caribbean island.
On closer inspection of her person, one cylindrical shaped parcel containing compressed ganja weighing two pounds was found hidden in her crotch area.
She was subsequently arrested and charged with illegal possession of ganja, dealing in ganja and takings steps preparatory to export ganja.
She is scheduled to appear before the St Andrew Parish Court on court on next Tuesday.
