A Trelawny woman is now in police custody in connection with the fatal stabbing of her sister during a dispute at their home in the parish on Saturday.
The deceased has been identified as 19-year-old Kimberly Crawford of Stettin, Trelawny.
Reports are that about 9:00am the two siblings were at home when they had a heated argument which escalated into a fight.
A knife was brought into play, which was used to stab the younger sister in the neck.
The injured woman was rushed to hospital where she was pronounced dead.
The elder sister, who fled the scene, reportedly went to a clergyman who handed her over to the Ulster Spring police.
