A two-year-old boy is among four members of a family who were shot and injured during an invasion of their home on Foga Road outside May Pen in Clarendon on Saturday night.
According to reports, the family was at home at about 10 o' clock, when three gunmen entered the house and demanded money.
The gunmen reportedly attempted to rape the 24-year-old mother of the two-year-old, and she resisted.
The intruders then opened fire on the occupants, hitting the woman, her mother, the two-year-old child, and the mother’s boyfriend.
The victims were also robbed of two cell phones.
The May Pen police are investigating the incident.
Clarendon has recorded several killings since the start of the year, including a reported five deaths in separate incidents last Tuesday, making it one of the bloodiest parishes so far.
