Principal Dismiss 7 to 9 Graders Who Are Traumatized By Gray's Death

The principal of the Green Pond High School in Montego Bay, Michael Ellis is asking parents/guardians of grade 7 to 9 students to collect them at the institution which has been plunged into mourning following the murder of Shineka Gray.

The decomposing body of the 15-year-old student was found on Riverside Drive in Granville, St James on Wednesday evening. There were multiple stab wounds to the upper parts of the body.

Gray, a Grade 10 student of Green Pond High who was of a Clarke Street, Mount Salem address in the parish, went missing on Sunday after she went to pay her respects to a friend who has passed at a funeral.

Ellis was prompted to dismiss classes in the lower school because of the high level of trauma affecting students and staff members. He noted that grades 10 and 11 students will remain behind for grief counselling.

Gray's decomposing body was discovered by residents in bushes with stab wounds to the upper body.
