A British woman of a Birmingham, England address was yesterday arrested for breaches of the Dangerous Drugs Act at the Sangster International Airport.
Reports from police at the airport were that about 5:20 pm, lawmen were conducting security checks when they located two suspicious suitcases. The suitcases were identified by the woman and a search conducted in her presence.
Both suitcases were found to contain 70 cans marked callaloo. Sixty four of the cans allegedly contained ganja weighing approximately 64 pounds and six tins contained cocaine weighing approximately six pounds.
The woman was taken into custody; however the police say her identity is being withheld pending further investigations.
