A teenage girl and a grown woman are now the subjects of much chatter following a gory stabbing incident in Albert Town, Trelawny, last week.
According to reports, a woman travelling in a motor vehicle alighted from the vehicle and approached the uniformed 17-year-old female student of the Albert Town High School in the parish. It is said that the two hurled insults at each other before exchanging blows.
At the end of the squabble, the student was left bleeding profusely. The woman reportedly fled the scene thereafter. It is also alleged that the dispute was regarding relations with a man.
The matter was reported to detectives at the Ulster Spring Police Station by the teenager, accompanied by her mother. The woman was subsequently arrested and charged with unlawful wounding.
