Sentenced Reduced to 18 Years For Shooting Co-worker/Girlfriend in The Face

Andre Bromfield, a former delivery supervisor who shot dead 24-year-old Shantell White on December 31, 2019, in MasterMac supermarket in Mandeville, has been sentenced to 18 years and five months.

The sentence was handed down in the Manchester Circuit Court a short while ago.

The two reportedly had an intimate relationship.

Presiding judge Lorna Shelly handed down the sentence.

Bromfield had pleaded guilty to manslaughter in a plea deal on May 16.

Bromfield had initially been charged with illegal possession of firearm and murder. He pleaded not guilty to those charges.

The murder charge was later reduced to manslaughter after he indicated in his caution statement that he was provoked by Whyte.

White, who was employed as an inventory clerk at the supermarket, was reportedly in a lunchroom with coworkers when Bromfield shot her in the face with his licensed firearm.

He was represented by attorney Norman Godfrey.
