She is 20-year-old Tia Tamara Ferron, a past student of Charlemont High School.
The corporate communications arm of the Jamaica Constabulary Force confirmed the murder, but said it was yet to put the relevant information together.
A relative of the deceased who wish to remain anonymous said Ferron was seen with gunshot wounds on the floor inside the kitchen after relatives heard gunshots.
The shooter is said to be a man.
Ferron was set for migration to the United States.
