RECOVERY OF ILLEGAL CONTRABAND (UNAUTHORIZED POSSESSION OF AMMUNITION) AND ARREST OF SUSPECTED DARRELL WATSON O/C STINGER
Reporting that on Saturday, August 26, 2023, at about 1:30 am along the Four Paths Main Road in the vicinity of Sweet and Juicy and Sunset Boulevard a vehicle was intercepted where magazines containing live rounds, a ski mask, vehicle were also confiscated, and a man known as Dorrell WATSON 26 years old (DOB 26.09.1998) unemployed of 5 Hamilton Street West Park Clarendon was arrested.
Police acting on information intercepted a Black Toyota Wish motor that had on the license plates 7055KK to the front of the car and 9884HE to the rear car driven by Dorrell WATSON O/C STINGER age 25 years old D. O. B 25/09/1998 Career Criminal of 5 Hamilton Drive Maypen Clarendon who was believed to be involved in the August 25, 2023 bank robbery at Scotia Bank in Manchester.
A preliminary search of the car led to the recovery of one (1) 9mm magazine containing 25 9mm cartridges, one (1) M16 spent casing Two (2) 7.62 AK 47 rounds were also recovered from the said vehicle. As also JMD $1000.00 and several traffic tickets belonging to different personnel all photographed and swabbed for Dna as also the vehicle processed and photographed.
The documents found in the vehicle revealed that the above-mentioned car is owned by the Donovan Barley of lot 91 2 North Greater Portmore St. Catherine TRN 101309171 correct license plate should be 3406 JM and also 95 Olympic Way Kingston 11 is the car rental company of choice by criminal elements within the Clarendon area; as seen in other cases.
It was also gleaned that WATSON is a getaway driver for criminal elements and is part of a larger syndicate of criminals that operate across parishes.
