Popular Police Female Inspector Doused With Piss at Half-Way Tree lock-up

Three men are in court for allegedly dousing a woman police inspector with urine when she checked on prisoners detained at the St Andrew Central (Half-Way Tree) lock-up.

The men, who appeared in the Kingston and St Andrew Parish Court last week, are Shermaine Martin, Malik Hepburn, and Keslon Cummings. They were in lock-up on various other charges when the incident reportedly occurred in March this year.

They are to return to court on September 7, where the matter is to be mentioned.

On the day of the alleged incident, March 22, which was the day for family visits at the lock-up, the woman inspector was on supervision duty.

Sometime after midday, and while visitors were at the facility, a loud commotion was heard in the vicinity of the cells. The woman inspector, accompanied by two constables, went to investigate the cause of the disturbance.

According to the police report, the team of officers saw prisoners in a particular cell banging on the door, cursing loudly and behaving boisterously.

The woman inspector reportedly went to the grille of the cell, which housed seven prisoners, including the three accused, to find out what was wrong.

The three men allegedly used expletives to the woman cop, accusing her of being biased and stating that they needed to use the facilities.

The police report said after the inspector opened the grille to the cell, the three accused men reportedly advanced with bottles containing urine and proceeded to douse the complainant “from head to toe”.

The woman inspector and the constables present reportedly managed to subdue the inmates. After the situation was reportedly brought under control, the accused men complained of feeling pain and were taken to hospital for treatment.
