Fearful that her blood pressure could spike to troubling levels, a Manchester lottery winner wasted no time in seeking medical attention in an effort to manage her overwhelming excitement after hitting the jackpot.
The woman, N. Anderson, became the newest Izizzi millionaire after winning $3.9 million one day after her 41st birthday on May 9.
"I can't even explain the feeling of winning, because I couldn't even sleep for two nights. I had to go to the doctor because me a seh me no wah me a think too much and me pressure go up...," stated the jackpot winner.
Having only begun playing her favourite Izizzi slot game, American Roulette, in January, Anderson said she never imagined she would see her largest payday, only four months later. A week before her incredible Izizzi Millions win, she hit the Yaad Winninz jackpot valued at $18,900.
The lucky woman collected her winning at Mahoe Gaming Enterprises Ltd's main office in Kingston earlier this week. She said that seeing her name written on the dotted line was "a dream come true".
According to the mother of four, who has been playing Izizzi games every day for the last four months, winning big, only a day after her birthday, was the best gift she could have ever received.
"The day before I won was my birthday and I said to my daughter, 'Lawd [me a] 41 todeh an me nuh have nothin. Me nuh waa nuh food todeh, a house, land and car me waan'," she recalled.
When asked how she intended to spend her winnings she said, "The first thing I'm thinking about is to buy a piece of land out of it, and I'm still going to play my Izizzi as usual, every single day."
The Izizzi games lover said that after purchasing the plot of land, she intends to be able to start building her house, as well as a "decent bar" from which she plans to operate an Izizzi Lottery retail outlet.
Anderson is the fifth Izizzi Millions Jackpot winner since the company introduced Jamaica's first islandwide, progressive jackpot in mid-2022. The Izizzi Millions Jackpot is available on all Izizzi gaming boxes at select retail locations across all parishes.
