Two Women And Cab Driver Killed in Kingston

A taxi driver and his two female passengers were brutally murdered along Upper King Street in the vicinity of heroes circle, Kingston on Thursday.

According to Reports, the women were travelling to get their makeups done for a party when they were trailed and attacked.

The females upon reaching their destination attempted to exit the vehicle when gunmen alighted their vehicle shooting all three occupants multiple times.

It is strongly believed at least one of the deceased was a target.

They died on spot.

The Kingston Central Police are investigating.

UPDATE: The police have identified the three people who were killed on Thursday night at Upper King Street in Kingston.

They are:

  • Twenty-one-year-old Tattiana Brown of West Street, Kingston;
  • Twenty-two-year-old Deanna Green of Law Street, Kingston; and
  • Thirty-seven-year-old Devroy Peart of Mitchell Drive, Portmore, St Catherine.

Reports from the Central police are that about 10:40pm, Brown, Green and Peart were travelling in a Honda motor car when they were intercepted by men in another vehicle.

The assailants alighted from the vehicle and opened gunfire hitting the occupants of the Honda motor car. 

The police were summoned and all three persons were seen with multiple gunshot wounds. They were taken to hospital where their deaths were confirmed. 

Lawmen from the Major Investigations Division are probing the triple murder.
