According to police reports she had just reached home from work when she was approached by a man armed with a firearm.
A tussle ensued during which the suspect opened fire hitting her.
The police were summoned by family members and the body of the now deceased was seen lying face down in a pool of blood with what appeared to be a gunshot wound to the head.
She was later pronounced dead at the Princess Margaret hospital.
