Asthma & Sinusitis Patients Cautioned as Saharan Dust Hits Caribbean

Jamaicans especially with asthma and sinusitis are being urged to take precautions against Saharan Dust from the west coast of Africa that’s reportedly set to arrive on the island today.

According to weather forecasts, Jamaicans should be awakening to dry, warm and hazy conditions.

According to the super computer model forecast of the Saharan dust, it should stay in Jamaica for a week or two.

However, several tropical waves will bring blue skies and rain in between.

In the Caribbean, the Saharan dust was last seen in Trinidad and Tobago before moving to Jamaica.
