Dancehall Artiste Popcaan is now in Police Custody in Antigua following an altercation with a Police Officer during his performance early this morning.
The 'Never Sober' Deejay was performing at 'Antigua's Labour Day Concert' held at Fort James Beach in the capital St. John's.
An eyewitness tells the news team that the Entertainer's performance was cut short after a scuffle ensued on stage between him and the Officer which stemmed from the removal of a fan from the stage.
The eyewitness said the Entertainer was also hit in the face by the Police.
However, the Zee contacted the St. John's Police Station in Antigua where the Artiste is being held, and Police Officer Corporal Cadet denies that Popcaan was hit in the face by Police.
He says the Artiste is being detained following the incident and is to be charged with battery.
