The fully-clothed girl was reportedly tossed into the Mexico hotel pool and submerged in water multiple times, with other guests watching from lawn chairs nearby. The Morelia surveillance camera footage also reportedly shows the man, believed to be the stepfather of the 3-year-old, walking away after tossing her into the pool and then returning a few moments later. An examination of the toddler’s body, which was conducted post-mortem, reportedly revealed the cause of death was mechanical asphyxia by drowning.
