Mix Breed Family Dog “Ripped to Pieces” 3-Day-Old Baby; Mom Left Door Open

A 3-day-old baby from North Glenn Avenue, in Fresno, central California was attacked and killed. Police say that she was mauled to death by the family’s dogs.

According to Police reports, 'She left the door open because it was hot and she thought the dogs were tied up.

'At this point, we believe it was an unfortunate accident.' In just a matter of seconds they launched the attack on the tiny baby girl.

The mother heard the baby cries and quickly rushed back only to find the toddler in the jaws of the devils. According to one officer on the scene, the baby was completely “ripped to pieces.” The infant was rushed to hospital where she later died.

The dogs, which are mixed breeds, half shar-pei, half pit bull have been taken to the Central California Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals where they have been placed in quarantine.

Walter Salvari of the SPCA said both dogs will be put down.
