A man was arrested and charged following investigations into a break-in at Holland Primary School in St Elizabeth last month.
Charged with the offences of school house breaking, larceny and receiving stolen property is 21-year-old Christopher Campbell of Middlesex district in the parish.
Reports from the Lacovia police are that about 8:00 a.m. on Friday, March 02, teachers arrived at work at the school and discovered that the institution had been broken into. An 84 inch flat screen television set and several grocery items were found to be missing.
The police were summoned and an investigation was immediately launched.
The probe led to an operation being carried out by the police at Campbell’s house that involved a search of the premises, during which the television set was allegedly recovered.
Campbell was arrested and charged on Thursday, March 29.
He is scheduled to appear in the St Elizabeth Parish Court later this week.
