Raid in Westmoreland Uncovers Gun And Amo Found in Gas Stove

Police officers in Savanna-la-Mar, Westmoreland removed another firearm from the hands of criminals on Sunday, quite likely saving some lives in the process.

Reports are that about 4:00 p.m., a team of cops conducted a snap raid at a premises on Ricketts Avenue in the parish capital.

During the search, a Taurus Millennium pistol with a magazine containing four .40 rounds of ammunition, was found in a stove and seized by the police.

No one was arrested in connection with the find.

Detectives continue to follow leads with the aim of nabbing the guilty party or parties.
