Unlucky 'Phone Grabber' Killed in Harbour View; Day of Mobbing in Halfway Tree

An unidentified man was shot and killed by a licensed firearm holder along St Thomas Boulevard in Harbour View, St Andrew on Saturday.

Reports are that about 8:12 p.m., the now deceased man, along with two accomplices, robbed a female along the roadway and were accosted by the licensed firearm holder.

The robbers reportedly made advances towards the licensed firearm holder, who drew his firearm and opened gunfire, hitting one of the men.

The other men ran and escaped.

The injured man was taken to the Kingston Public Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The incident occurred the same day a man reportedly held up and robbed a woman of her phone in Half-Way Tree, also in St Andrew, and was held by passers-by and severely beaten before being rescued by members of the security forces.
