Woman Charged in Connection With Overseas Job Scam in Christiana

A Manchester woman was on Tuesday charged for three counts of Obtaining Money by False Pretence and Conspiracy to Defraud.

She has been identified as 38-year-old Keisha Forbes of Job Lane, Christiana in the parish.

Reports are that Forbes informed a number of persons that she was in a position to provide overseas employment for them.

It is alleged that in December 2017 she collected monies from three complainants amounting to $225 000. The applicants were scheduled to leave the island in February 2018; however, nothing was organised to accommodate such arrangement.

Forbes is scheduled to appear before the Mandeville Parish Court on Wednesday, March 21.
