One of St Andrew's Most Wanted Killed in Gun Battle With Cops

One of St. Andrew North Police most wanted was shot and killed when he reportedly challenged the police on the Golden Spring main road, St. Andrew on Friday, February 23.

He is 28-year-old Romaine Brown, otherwise called ‘Papa’, of Airy Castle Road, Stony Hill, in the parish.

One Smith and Wesson pistol containing six 9 mm rounds of ammunition was seized during the incident.

Police said Brown was wanted for five counts of shooting with Intent in and around the Stony Hill area, as well as Illegal possession of firearm and ammunition.

Police said Brown was renowned for his notorious acts and had challenged the police on numerous occasions.

The police in a release issued a call renewing their appeal to perpetrators to surrender peacefully to them when confronted so as to minimize the loss of lives.
