Bearer Robbed of About 6 Million by Biker in New Kingston

There was a case of alleged robbery and aggravated assault involving millions of dollars in New Kingston on Tuesday morning.

According to the police, a bearer was reportedly robbed of $6 million while walking towards a financial institution in the commercial district.

According to the report, at sometime after 8am, a man on a bike rode up and slashed the bearer's hand and took the bag with the $6 million.

Some reports online allege that the bearer's hand was almost severed but cops told Loop News that the man received a “cut on his hand”.

“It is a case of aggravated assault but the amount of money is alleged because it has not been confirmed yet, but that’s what the victim told the cops," a representative at the Constabulary Communication Unit (CCU) said.
