More High Powered Weapons & Ammunition Found In St. James

St. James has quickly become the most violent parish in Jamaica since the recent upsurge of killings throughout the year.

{xtypo_dropcap}I{/xtypo_dropcap}n an effort to effectively fight crime, the police force have implement a security operation which led to several high powered weapons being discovered in the parish.

Four weapons were seized, which included two AK 47 rifles, one Uzi sub-machine gun, and a 9 mm pistol.

Twelve (12) persons were also taken into police custody, this according to Head of the St. James division, Senior Superintendent Marlon Nesbeth.

In the meantime, security minister Robert Montique went to parliament to outline his plans to tackle the high percentage increase of crime in the parish.
