Gunman Was Shot by Cops Downtown After Killing Vendor on Princess Street

A gunman was shot and injured by police in downtown Kingston just minutes after he shot and killed a vendor along Princess Street in downtown Kingston and was attempting to make his escape.

{xtypo_dropcap}P{/xtypo_dropcap}olice said one firearm was seized from the attacker. Reports are that, at about 3:40 pm, the male vendor was standing along Princess Street when he was attacked and shot several times by a man armed with a gun.

Police told The News Team that, minutes after the attack, the alleged shooter was making his escape when he ran up in a team of police.

He pulled the firearm and pointed it at a police officer and was shot. He was taken to hospital by the police unclear of his current condition.
