Should Pregnant Women With Zika Virus be Given the Option to Abort?

Opposition member and medical doctor Dayton Campbell, is suggesting that with the known effects of the Zika virus on pregnant women and babies, parents should be offered the option of abortion.

{xtypo_dropcap}D{/xtypo_dropcap}r. Campbell raised the issue in Parliament yesterday (Tues), following a statement by Health Minister Dr. Christopher Tufton, on the Zika virus and mircocephaly.

So far, there are 231 suspected cases of Zika in pregnant women, with seven positive for the virus.

The Health Minister also alluded to plans to have all pregnant women tested for the virus.

'When someone shares something of value with you and you benefit from it, you have a moral obligation to share it with others.'
